Good evening, Resident
I am pleased to share our end of set update with you. Please find below a summary of our activities and achievements. The update provides an overview of the community work carried out during the month.
Partnership Support: We provided operational support to the Handsworth Neighbourhood Team and a few other teams on a operation for the simmer down festival 26/07/26 at the photos from the festival are on our twitter page.
Environmental and Safety Reporting During patrols, PCSOs have come across 7 different areas where flytipping has taken place. Items that were found are discarded furniture and bin bags these were identified on the public highway on Simmons drive, Welsh house farm road and Wisley way, presenting a clear hazard to pedestrians. The incident was formally reported to the Local Authority via the Fix My Street reporting platform. The council have been contacted via this and we are hoping for a quick resolution. Photos of some of the flytipping are below. Fix my street is a free to use app that can be downloaded and it is easy to use, take a photo on your camera and upload it to the app where u can put the location of where the rubbish is and leave your email and confirm the report.
Community Engagement During patrols PCSOs have attended the Quinton Allotments where it was lovely to see so many people enjoying the environment and the wonderful weather we are experiencing. It was a great opportunity to talk to residents of Quinton and discuss any concerns they have.
